The gallery was founded in 2007 by Manuela Grunert. Its principal focus is the representation of an international group of contemporary artists whose diverse practices include painting, drawing, sculpture, video and photography.

The exhibition space of the gallery is in Hamburg, Germany, within the private home of Manuela Grunert and her family. The works of the artists are integrated into the living space. This is meant as an invitation to reflect on the work both in an artistic context as well as in the context of a common everyday surrounding.
