Stef Heidhues
The objects, collage and installations of Stef Heidhues question the proportions, dimensions and perspective of their surrounding spaces. This is achieved by Heidhues through playing an irritating game involving the rules of architecture.
At first glance her works seem like a detailed master plan of city planning. On closer inspection it turns out to be an artistic discourse on mathematical impossibilities, on the reversion of big and small, on the simultaneous existence of construction and decay; A discourse on nature slowly seeping into the fantasy of an urban society that lives in disorder.
